The SammyStrong Foundation is formed:
The moment the doctors told us it was not migraines, but brain cancer we were up against, our family, friends and community surrounded us. This world was foreign to us, things and decisions had to made quickly. Everything they did helped us focus on Sammy and our family. With support of all kinds we were able to ask the right questions, get a second opinion, and plans were executed to best help Sammy. We worked with organizations such as St Jude, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, FedExFamilyHouse and many others. Their warmth, compassion and knowledge brought so much comfort and confidence. They helped continue to foster HOPE for Sammy and us. It is because of them our mission was born.
