Sammy has scans in early December so we made the most of it by making a donation to the Le Bonhaur Childlife

Sammy was honored at the American Cancer Society event for his bravery! We were able to make a contribution to their great work.

In these few months, SammyStrong was able to continue our monthly meal to the FedExFmailyHouse. We also collaborated with the Nebraska Coalition to End Childhood Cancer to make to help make Grab & Go bags for children recently diagnosed.

We helped support two families fighting

Made a donation to St Jude's to help families with gas expenses.  

With fellow warrior Molly, we got together with  Madonna's TLC teachers and donated books to their library!

We were able to do our monthly meals to the FedExFamilyHouse, as well as a donation of over $600 of needed items and covered the cost for a family to stay there for a week free!

We were able to do our monthly meals to the FedExFamilyHouse. We also met three other families whose kiddos are fighting pediatric brain cancer. SammyStrong was able to help support these families with  travel expenses or other finical assistance

 Made a toiletry donation to the local Ronald McDonald house in Omaha. 

SammyStrong was also able to make a donation of $1500 of needed items for the Childlife Specialists at Boystown.

Provided a meal to all families staying at the FedExFamilyHouse. 

Worked with three families who were either  getting ready to travel for treatment or in recovery, and able to provide finical support.

 As we all know, gas prices are high right now. This is a major expense for families who are traveling to St Jude for their child's care. SammyStrong wanted to help alleviate that financial concern for families. In April, we donated $2000.00 to assist in covering gasoline needs to patients and families. 

We also were able to provide a meal to all families staying at FedExFamilyHouse.  

 With the help of all of our supporters, we held a toiletry drive in February for the FedExFamilyHouse. Then, in March we delivered the toiletries AND helped stock up some much needed toys and outdoor games for the families to use during their stay. A delivery of over $2000! SammyStrong and FedExFamilyHouse have worked hard on prioritizing what families staying there need most. Through hearing their needs, SammyStrong has committed to paying for a meal a month for the rest of the 2022 year. There are times when you are so focused on your child that you can not process anything else, even eating. Having a warm, easy meal there and ready is so impactful for these kids and families! We got meet another fighting family whose kiddo is getting ready for treatment.

We got to meet two other families and helped with travel expenses for them! 

Our daughter and her volleyball team went to work collecting toiletry items to donate to the FedEx house during Sammy's first follow up scan. Kids helping kids! Mother Nature and Covid did not allow us to personally deliver these items. But they got there! 

Lauren and her volleyball team also made and delivered Halloween goodie bags so each Madonna inpatient pediatric patient could have some spooky fun. 

In December, Sammy and friends shopped for and delivered over $1500 dollars worth of toys and other items to UMNC Childlife Specialists! Childlife Specialists are an amazing group of professionals that are there very step of the way supporting kids and families while they are in the hospital! We were so thrilled to be able to support them and all that they do!
